Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement applies to"Commuter Club") hereby referred to individually as "Website". By using the Website, you consent to the privacy practices described in this Privacy Statement, as modified from time to time by SACOG.  SACOG wishes to provide visitors to this Website with an understanding of how SACOG handles information collected in connection with their Website visits.

Use of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) identifies or describes a person or can be directly linked to a specific person. Examples of PII include a person's name, email address, mailing address, home address, and phone number. We only collect PII from a Website visitor if he or she voluntarily provides us with the information in order to access services.

Certain information is required for participation in Commuter Club programs. A contact phone number for public release is required if you choose to post a Vanpool Listing so that participants without an e-mail can contact you, but you choose whether it is your work or home phone number. When your name appears on a Match List, all we display is your name, city, zip code, e-mail address, phone number (if provided) and any additional information you have chosen to provide. Home addresses are strictly confidential.

SACOG will use your email address to send you the type of information for which you provided your email address.  For example, email communications you receive from the Website may pertain to carpools, vanpools, Emergency Ride Home (ERH) vouchers, Trip Diary reminders or other programs you have registered for. Periodically SACOG sends emails to the Commuter Club registrants about free special commuter events, surveys and other information relating to traveling in the region.

In addition, PII may be disclosed to third parties as required to comply with laws or legal process served on SACOG.

Reviewing and Updating PII
Registrants may review and update their PII by logging in and clicking "My Profile" in the top right corner of the screen.
